Tier IV Design certifications, (Uptime Institute, USA)
ebrc Data Centres are classified up to Tier IV and offer top-level standards in terms of availability and security.
After the "Resilience Centre Luxembourg West" in May 2010, the “Resilience Centre Luxembourg South” officially received Tier IV Design certification by the Uptime Institute in June 2011.
The certification of the second centre confirms ebrc as Global leader in terms of resilient data centre operations. This also places us in a unique position worldwide, offering two certified TierIV data centres geographically positioned to allow synchronous data replication.
ISO 27001 Certification (PricewaterhouseCoopers Certification B.V.)
ebrc, the leading market provider in hosting, data protection and IT Outsourcing, demonstrates its commitment to excellence by achieving the ISO 27001 certification.This announcement confirms ebrc as Luxembourg’s first and unique managed hosting provider certified ISO 27001.
This international certification rewards the efforts and quest for excellence which ebrc has been carrying out for more than 10 years to continuously ensure the availability and security of its clients’ information. The certificate was awarded to ebrc following a rigorous auditing process conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers Certification B.V.
This international “Information Security Management” standard comprehensively defines the requirements for establishing, implementing and documenting an effective information Security Management System.
This certification, encompassing both the physical and logical aspects of security, requires the implementation of adequate controls addressing confidentiality, integrity and availability of information (clients, employees and partners).
ISO 20000 Certification (Bureau Veritas)
ebrc, the leading market provider in hosting, data protection and IT Outsourcing, demonstrates its commitment to excellence by achieving the ISO/IEC 20000:2005 certification.
This announcement confirms ebrc as Luxembourg’s leading managed hosting provider certified ISO/IEC 20000:2005.
This international certification rewards the efforts and quest for excellence which ebrc has been carrying out for more than 10 years to continuously improve it services and quality delivered to the clients.
The certificate was awarded to ebrc following a rigorous auditing process conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification Belgium nv/sa.
This international “Information technology – Service management” standard comprehensively defines the requirements for a service provider to deliver managed services to meet the customer requirements with a high level of satisfaction. This certification requires the definition of a service management quality system, the implementation of 13 processes (based on ITIL best practices), structured around a continual service improvement framework.
ISO 14001 Certification (Bureau Veritas)
ebrc, as Participant to the European Code of Conduct for Data Centres and Member of the Green Grid, demonstrates once more its attachment to environmental aspects by achieving the ISO 14001 certification.
This certificate was awarded to ebrc following a rigorous auditing process conducted by The Bureau Veritas Certification Belgium NV/SA.
This international standard provides a tried and proven framework for identifying and tracking regulatory compliance issues related to the environmental management system.
This standard is applicable in order to:
- implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system
- ensure its conformity with its own stated environmental policy
- meet legislative requirements
- exceed clients' expectations
It covers all activities concerning management of:
- Data Centre services : design, setup and operations
- Managed Services
- Business Continuity services : deployment of clients IT images, relocation and recovery services
- Consulting services

The operations in ebrc Data Centres are handled according to the ITIL v3 framework.
The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) defines a set of concepts and policies for managing IT services, developments and operations, and represents the best practices in service management.
The improved operational framework, implemented at ebrc, enables us to provide high-end Service Level Agreements to our clients. 80% our technical members are ITIL certified.
PRINCE2 is a structured approach to project management. It provides a method for managing projects within a clearly defined framework, based on organisation, management and quality control of the project. Our Business Continuity consultants have received international certifications on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery matters: DRI and BS25999.
CSR Policy
The ESR certification label testifies ebrc’s commitment to monitor and promote an approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in regards to economic, social and environmental dimensions of its stakeholders.
ebrc's initiative for a sustainable future
Aware of energy efficiency, we signed up, as Participant, to the European Code of Conduct for Data Centres. As member of The Green Grid we have taken up the challenge of developing standards to measure the efficiency of both the facility and the IT equipment of our Data Centres.
Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) certification
Shortly after its ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 20000 (IT Service Management) certifications, ebrc is proud to be the first hosting and ICT Managed Services company in Luxembourg to be granted with this prestigious certification for the Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
PCI-DSS is a key certification for major e-business and e-commerce players with online electronic transactions. It was initiated by the main credit card vendors (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) in order to manage the evolution of the Payment Card Industry and increase the security levels.
Managed services clients can now delegate the responsibility of PCI compliancy to ebrc for their platform requirements.
